Now that you’ve registered:
Kids and Teens (read below). Adults, please click here.
Download and print one of the following two reading logs:
Children’s Reading Log (3 years through fifth grade) (.pdf)
Teen Reading Log (sixth grade through twelfth grade) (.pdf)
OR
Pick up a paper copy of a children’s or teen reading log at the Children’s Desk at the library.
THEN
Write down the names of the books you’ve read or heard. Children not yet reading may count books read to them.
FINALLY
After reading and writing down at least 10 books: After August 1, 2010, bring the reading log to the Sunnyvale Public Library to select a prize — a free book! Last day to select a prize is August 31. Show your reading log at the Children’s Desk to get a free book!
Adults – Pick up your reading log at the Information/Reference Desk at the library.
When you sign up, an Adult Services Librarian will give you a Summer Reading Log for recording the books you read during the summer. If you sign up online, your log will be ready for you when you come in person to present your library card and log your books read. (Please allow 2-3 days for processing.)
- You must have a current Sunnyvale Public Library card.
- You must have at least one book read at the time you sign up.
- The sign up period is from Tuesday, June 1 to Saturday, July 31.
Directions
- Books can be fiction or non-fiction and in any language. Unabridged recorded books also qualify.
- Record the books you’ve read each time you visit the library on your log.
- The logs are kept at the Information Desk next to the booklist rack. Look for the sign.
- The last day to record titles is Tuesday, August 31.
Prize
- After you finish reading eight books, come to the Information Desk to choose a paperback book as your prize.
